Keller is looking for an experienced Payroll Audit Specialist in our Hanover, MD corporate headquarters.

 

Job Summary: Responsible for auditing HR and payroll data for both union & non-union employees on a weekly basis utilizing an in-house system and ADP. Partnering with HR Coordinators of each business unit to ensure entries are accurately reporting during the payroll processing cycle.

Responsibilities Verifies time entry (entered by HR), pay changes, position changes, direct deposit changes and all other changes to an employee profile are entered correctly, and that proper backup is signed offAssists with resolving direct deposit or W4 issuesEnsures changes in benefit deductions are accurate and in accordance with company policyConfirms new hires and terminations are processed accurately in accordance with state lawAudit payroll for the business unit entries ensuring data entered by the HR Coordinator is reflected in payroll before final processing Assist in processing wage garnishments and other wage orders as required.Validates bonuses and special payments are paid consistent with company policiesResponds in timely matter to all employee inquiries about tax or pay questionsAssists employees with guidance on payroll forms or processesCreates audit process for Standard Operating Procedures related to validation of payroll entries and all employee master data entry. Notify payroll tax of state changes or W4 changes in an employee profileAssist with unemployment claims submissions in ADPAssist with verification or employment submissions in ADPAssist with issuing PRC’s (on-line pay statement personal registration codes as needed) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.Minimum 1-3 years of related experience is required.Experience with ADP Workforce Now required.Knowledge of state and local payroll law.Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills necessary.
