Payroll Banking Accountant

The Payroll Banking Accountant within the Bath & Body Works Payroll function is responsible for ensuring compliance with banking regulations, managing associate payment methods, and timelines of associate pay. Responsibilities + Responsible for timely and accurate reporting + Manage timely and accurate completion of monthly black-book account reconciliations + Own banking reconciliations and journal entry preparation + Partner with the Payroll Operations group to ensure on-cycle and off-cycle payroll files are processed successfully + Manage analysis of associate banking inquiries, including partnering with other Cross-Functional partners to achieve resolution + Participate in testing of Oracle upgrades + Conduct banking audits to ensure compliance with standards of operation + Manage and support the escheatment processes. + Support key payroll initiatives and projects such as the expansion of the Earned Wage Access program + Research and respond to associate payroll banking inquiries; manage associate payment method changes as applicable + Collaborate with Cross-Functional Partners in Digital IT, Associate Connect, Benefits and Human Resources to understand current processes and make recommendations for improvements as needed Qualifications + Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in Payroll Tax and Accounting + Excellent customer service skills + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results and goals + Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including experience analyzing data and making recommendations based on analysis + Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, composed, accurate, and timely fashion while managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment + Experience with Oracle HCM, ADP Smart Compliance and SAP Financials is preferred + Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel Education + Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance Core Competencies + Lead with Curiosity & Humility + Build High Performing Teams for Today & Tomorrow + Influence & Inspire with Vision & Purpose + Observe, Engage & Connect + Strive to Achieve Operational Excellence + Deliver Business Results Benefits Bath & Body Works associates are the heart of our business.
