Payroll & Benefit Specialist
Action Behavior Centers is a leading provider of ABA therapy services for children on the Autism Spectrum, based in Austin, TX. We are looking for a well-qualified and trustworthy Payroll & Benefit Specialist to join our People Services team. The right candidate will have a strong attention to detail and an eagerness to jump in and become an expert on all of our programs and benefits.    Job Responsibilities
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates ensuring accuracy of all wage calculations, withholdings, deductions, personnel changes which includes new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and changes to pay rates.
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transaction
• Reconciles benefits accounts by approving billing statements.
• Achieves financial objectives by preparing the benefits and department operational budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Maintain Paycor HRIS; serve as expert and ensure data integrity, including personnel changes, manager access and providing training and support to end users
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Performs other related duties as assigned
• Responsible for the timely and accurate day-to-day processing
• Prepare and process payroll for hourly & salaried employees
• Verify all payroll entries including deductions, earnings and changes, review and reconcile payroll data and resolving any discrepancies as necessary
• Assist with payroll wage garnishments
• Assist with benefits enrollment, benefits auditing, and benefits inquiries
• Work with operation mangers regarding inquiries, issues and procedures affecting payroll and HR
• Accurately enter and maintain all employee data into Paycor HRIS.
• Create and maintain employee files and personnel records.
• Assist with answering general payroll and benefits related questions for employees.
• Maintain oversight on Federal, State and Local Tax and Regulation compliance.
• Manage personnel leave and worker's compensation. •
• Prepare and submit Federal Reporting to ensure compliance (OSHA, EEO-1, etc.)
• Act as a trusted and helpful People Service resource for teammates, with a high level of discretion


Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2+ years Human Resources related experience
• Must be able to maintain high levels of confidentiality
• Must possess strong computer skills, primarily experience with Microsoft Office Suite (with special attention to Excel), and Payroll processing/ HRIS systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resource, Occupational Safety, and or related field required.     Salary $40,000 - $50,000
