Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Analyst for a healthcare client of ours based in Berkeley, CA to manage payroll processes and employee benefits. As a Payroll & Benefits Analyst, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees while also administering benefits programs. Responsibilities: - Oversee payroll procedures, including reviewing timesheets and attendance records. - Prepare and submit necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments. - Analyze compensation-related data, such as wages and bonuses. - Manage payroll transactions (e.g., via e-banking). - Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records. - Process benefit costs, such as insurance fees and sick leaves. - Design and document procedures to streamline payroll processes. - Maintain payment calendars for the fiscal year. - Report payroll issues and changes to management. - Address employee inquiries related to salaries, taxes, and benefits. - Stay up-to-date on state and federal payroll and tax laws. - Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. - Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless benefits administration. - Educate employees on available benefits and assist with enrollment processes. - Monitor benefits costs and recommend cost-effective solutions. - Handle benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
