Payroll/Benefits Specialist
Job Title: Payroll/Benefits Specialist Location: Plainsboro, NJ Type: contract Overview Leading consumer goods company looking for an experienced Payroll/Benefits Specialist. Ideal candidate should have advanced Excel knowledge (including v-lookups and pivot tables), as well as an understanding of payroll and benefits. Responsibilities Leaves of Absence Administration + Strong understanding of FMLA, ADA, ADAA, HIPPA, and state regulated leave laws such as NJFLA, NYPFL, CA EDD, etc. + Communicates leave of absence approvals, denials, return to work and other essential information to HRBP’s and managers. + Handles all emails in the disability mailbox, ensuring timely and full cycle responses, including proper handling of confidential and sensitive information. + Act as liaison with applicable third-party administrators- including regular audits of claim reporting. + Administers the self-funding payment process, working closely with payroll to ensure the timeliness of disability and leave payments for employees. + Ability to pick up other benefit tasks as needed. Payroll Assistant + Handles all emails in the NAMPayroll mailbox, ensuring timely and full cycle responses, including proper handling of confidential and sensitive information. + Review and update Leave Payments worksheet + Reconcile Qrtly Audits for review by Asst. Payroll Manager/Payroll Manager + Update Qrtly Tax reporting worksheets + Review all wage attachments and send to ADP for processing + Monitor ADP Smart Compliance Site Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED Skills: Excel, Microsoft office exp., good communication skills, the ability to work with others, tight deadlines.
