Frontier-Kemper Constructors is the general contractor for the Kensico-Eastview Connection Tunnel Project. The scope of the approximately $1.1 billion contract entails the construction of a new deep rock tunnel between the Kensico Reservoir and the Catskill/Delaware Ultraviolet (CDUV) Light Disinfection Facility, both in Westchester County, New York. The new tunnel will provide an additional means of conveying water between the Kensico Reservoir and the CDUV Facility, enhancing operational resiliency and redundancy for New York City’s water supply system.

DESCRIPTION:
As a Payroll Clerk at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Business Manager, you will have the opportunity to compile all paperwork necessary for processing timesheets as well as personnel documents in preparation for entry. Completing the payroll cycle includes verifying reports and distributing payroll documents. This is a detail oriented and problem-solving position adhering to internal control guidelines. Knowledge of excel and an oracle-based accounting system is a plus along with good communication skills.
Daily time entryReview/reconcile reports to verify accuracyCommunicate with personnel as neededRespond to employee and jobsite inquiries to resolve discrepancies in an efficient and accurate manner.Distribute payroll documentsUnderstand and follow internal control requirementsMaintain compliance with the Union Project Labor AgreementCommunicate new dispatches to the Union hallsMaintain dispatch records and associated informationCollect, reconcile and provide new hire data to Human ResourcesOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
Five or more years of Payroll experienceAbility to multi-task to ensure that all deadlines are met while delivering effective resultsAbility to operate in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment and produce high outputAbility to exhibit a high level of confidentialityGood problem-solving skills and detail orientedTeam player attitudeGood attendance, reliability and attention to detailStrong verbal and written skills in English languageStrong organization skillsIntermediate or higher skill level with MS ExcelJD Edwards experience and union payroll experience are preferred but not required
**Expected salary range for this position is $56,000 – $66,000 depending upon experience**
