Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the manufacturing industry, based in Compton, California, 90220, United States. This role involves meticulous management of customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. There will also be a need to monitor customer accounts and take necessary action. Responsibilities: • Manipulate and pull reports using advanced Excel skills • Efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain and back up Payroll Person for a workforce of about 600 employees • Perform accounting functions using software systems • Handle benefit functions, with experience considered a plus • Conduct auditing when required • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) operations • Use Paycom and About Time to carry out accounting tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for efficient processing and recording of company's payroll, financial transactions, and reports. • Familiarity with 'About Time' software is a must to manage and track employee's time and attendance effectively. • Comprehensive understanding of general accounting functions is necessary to ensure accurate financial reporting and control. • Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) is needed for the timely payment of company bills, invoices, and employee reimbursements. • Auditing skills are essential to verify the accuracy of financial operations and to identify any discrepancies or irregularities. • Experience in managing benefit functions is required to administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, leaves, insurance, and saving bonds. • Proficiency in using Paycom software is mandatory for efficient payroll management and human resources administration.
