Description Payroll Assistant: Robert Half is seeking a payroll assistant on a contract to hire basis in Burgettstown, PA. The role supports the pay cycle activities of the company. A crucial part of HR, this role focuses on both payroll and personnel activities ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Close coordination with HR and Finance departments will be required. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in the gathering and examining of timesheets to ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions. + Aid in onboarding of new hires by ensuring all necessary paperwork and systems entries are complete, legal, and accurate. + Support the Payroll department in the execution of daily tasks including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, auditing, and generating payroll reports. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and filing requirements. + Process and manage overtime, leave balances, bonuses, and terminations as needed. + Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and payroll files. + Assist in resolving pay discrepancies or payroll related queries from staff members. + Provide administrative support to the HR team as and when needed. Requirements + Associates degree or relevant certification in payroll, HR, or related field. + Experience with payroll systems and HR software. + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong understanding of wage deductions, payroll tax, and wage laws. + Exceptional numerical aptitude and data entry skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced functions of Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
