Description We are working with an organization in Fort Wayne, IN that is searching for a payroll clerk with a keen eye for detail, an understanding of employee payroll tax, and payroll processing. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be performing audits on the state taxes of employees in multiple states. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough audits on employee records to ensure accuracy • Use Paylocity system for auditing tasks, ensuring its correct usage • Address issues related to state taxes of employees and rectify discrepancies • Manage Multi-state Payroll, ensuring all employee records are up-to-date • Utilize Concur for financial management tasks, maintaining its effective use • Identify and resolve any issues within the payroll system • Ensure all audit results are accurately recorded and updated. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in auditing processes and procedures. • Proficiency in using Paylocity for payroll management. • Experience in handling multi-state payroll, demonstrating a thorough understanding of various state laws and regulations. • Knowledge of payroll taxes, with an ability to accurately calculate and process these taxes. • Prior experience in a non-profit organization will be beneficial. • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with various departments. • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks. • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
