Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the construction industry, based in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States. Responsibilities: • Handle in-house payroll tasks with precision and timeliness • Ensure accurate processing of payroll on a weekly basis • Oversee the reconciliation of payroll data for record-keeping • Manage multi-state payroll operations, ensuring compliance with state regulations • Handle payroll-related queries, providing efficient resolution for any issues • Monitor and manage prevailing wage calculations and fringe benefits • Execute year-end payroll duties, ensuring all data is accurate for end-of-year reporting • Maintain accurate records of all payroll functions to ensure accountability and transparency. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Payroll Clerk in the construction/contractor industry • Proficiency in payroll processes, including in-house payroll management • Familiarity with prevailing wage and fringe benefits calculations • Ability to manage all payroll functions effectively and efficiently • Experience in processing payroll on a weekly basis • Skilled in reconciling payroll to ensure accuracy • Knowledge of year-end payroll procedures and requirements • Experience with multi-state payroll, understanding of the nuances of different state laws and regulations.
