Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in the non-profit sector, based in FORT WAYNE, Indiana. In this role, you will be managing a range of tasks related to payroll, such as garnishments, employment verifications, and interrogatories. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of garnishments, including accurate documentation and communication with third-party entities • Handle employment verification inquiries professionally and efficiently • Regularly update and maintain accurate payroll records • Execute interrogatories with precision, ensuring all responses are thorough and timely • Coordinate with courts for termination letters and balance inquiries • Perform regular audits of paid time off (PTO) • Utilize the Paylocity system for various payroll-related tasks • Engage in frequent phone communication for the resolution of various issues and inquiries. Requirements • Proficiency in Auditing: The candidate should have a strong understanding of auditing principles and should be adept at performing routine audits to ensure accuracy in financial transactions. • Experience with Payroll Garnishments: The applicant must have prior experience in handling payroll garnishments, understanding relevant laws and regulations and ensuring compliance. • Employment Verifications: The role requires the candidate to be proficient in conducting employment verifications, including reference checks and background investigations. • Familiarity with Paylocity: The ideal candidate should have experience using Paylocity for payroll processing and should be comfortable navigating its features and functionalities. • Expertise in Interrogatories: The candidate should possess skills in dealing with interrogatories, with the ability to effectively respond to inquiries and extract necessary information.
