Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the local government sector located in Richmond, Virginia, 23219, United States for the role of a Payroll Clerk. This role involves the processing and maintaining of payroll data, among other duties. Responsibilities: • Accurately enter payroll data into the system to ensure correct and timely payment to employees • Process payroll adjustments as necessary to correct any discrepancies • Handle garnishments, ensuring they are correctly calculated and deducted from the employee's pay • Utilize ERP systems to manage and report on payroll activities • Generate reports on payroll activities to support management decision-making • Apply your knowledge of Accounting Software Systems such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time • Perform routine audits on payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations • Handle accounts payable (AP) related to payroll activities • Manage benefit functions as they relate to payroll for the local government staff • Leverage your skills in accounting functions to ensure the integrity and accuracy of payroll data.
