Summary/Objective: The position of the Payroll Coordinator will provide assistance to the HR field along with the payroll team in all tasks as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions Help process HR plant scans, deduction forms, direct deposits, SOX reporting, pay card assistance, etc. for all employees as needed. Prepares and completes correspondence and employment/earning verifications for the payroll department. Maintain payroll support inbox, emails, voicemails, etc. on a daily basis. Assists in processing W-4 forms as needed along with potential team member tax corrections / adjustments. Maintains employee records to ensure employee changes are entered correctly and in a timely manner. Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Other Key Responsibilities Assists in weekly payroll processing and balancing of business units. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshop. Working Conditions: Primarily working indoors, office environment. May sit for several hours at a time. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers. Qualifications: High school degree or GED Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Discretion and integrity when handling employee information Competencies Attention to Detail Communication Proficiency Organizational Skills Ability to Prioritize Sense of Urgency Thoroughness Time Management Customer Service Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibility. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Any additional schedule requirements will be decided by the Director of Payroll. Travel Travel would be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. Preferred Education and Experience Required experience in: General math & reporting Manufacturing/industry experience Office experience Ultimate Software experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications None.
