JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Payroll Coordinator who is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll in compliance with company policies and local regulations in the US and Canada region. This role involves maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, ensuring accuracy of payroll and responding to employee inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. YOU ARE Committed to Attention to Detail . You will ensure accurate payroll processing by evaluating timesheets, addressing discrepancies with frontline leaders, and making necessary adjustments to weekly pay batches. You will manage the transfer of timesheets into payroll batches, including entering manual checks as needed. You will conduct pre-process reviews to verify the accuracy of payroll batches before final submission. Data Driven. You will maintain and manages payroll data, including wages, tax exemptions, and garnishments, ensuring data integrity and security. You will assist in the oversight of the ADP payroll system as an administrator and supports system management. You will enter and import weekly payroll, tax, and 401(k) journal entries into Eclipse for accurate financial recording. Passionate about Compliance. You will ensure compliance with state regulations and tax filing requirements, completing verification for garnishments, support orders, unemployment, and other external documents. You will manage reporting for workers’ compensation and state-mandated disability. You will support annual 401(k) audits, workers’ compensation audits, and other compliance-related administrative needs Process Driven . You will enter monthly earnings into the workers' compensation carrier portal and records accruals in Eclipse. You will reconcile prior month’s workers' compensation calculations against carrier reports, making necessary expense adjustments. You will also provide documentation and support for financial audits to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Collaborative and Enjoy Helping Others . You will serve as a resource for supervisors by assisting with payroll inquiries, timesheet discrepancies, and time-off-related concerns. Ensures employees receive timely and accurate payroll support. REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS Education and Experience + Minimum of three years 3 years of experience in payroll with prior experience interacting with HR teams. + Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related discipline. + Must have extensive experience with ADP Workforce Now with Time and Attendance, Benefits and Report or other similar payroll system Qualifications + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook. + Strong interpersonal skills. + Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. + Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. + Commitment to excellence and high standards. + Acute attention to detail. + Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow. + Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
