Job Description

Allied Universal Technology Services® is hiring a Payroll Data Manager. The Payroll Data Manager is responsible for managing the payroll, and union payroll functions. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company payroll, union, and compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the development, implementation, and administration of payroll and union programs coordination, as well as design and calculation and payout of variable compensation programs, including sales incentives, commissions, and bonusesSelection and placement of payroll specialist team members; design and implement career development and performance improvement measuresMonitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectivesProvide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluationsDesign creative solutions to specific compensation programs and incentive plansDevelop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting dataCoordinate with AUS Human Resources and Finance teams as neededEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations, including unions and certified payroll

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

Must possess one or more of the following:Bachelor's degree Business, Human Resources, or related fieldAssociate's degree Business, Human Resources, or related field with a minimum of seven (7) years of payroll experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of payroll experienceMinimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Payroll to include union payroll and/or business analysisMinimum of one (1) year of experience managing subordinatesExperience demonstrating knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operationsKnowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation, incentive programs, and payroll including oversight of union compensation programsStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate dataComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including ExcelStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent time management skills and ability to plan and set prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management and multiple teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

Experience with Certified Payroll, Prevailing Wages, and UnionsSHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and certified compensation professional credentials
