Systems Planning and Analysis is searching for a Payroll Manager – Labor Accountant. The Company is experiencing a high rate of growth and needs a leader to come and create scalable processes for a larger organization. This role requires excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as well as experience managing a team of individuals.
ResponsibilitiesExpected Contributions and Responsibilities
Manage compliance of all Payroll and Timekeeping with GAAP, CAS, and the FARManage the maintenance and documentation of proper controls and policies related to timekeeping and payroll with the ControllerManage the bi-monthly payroll functions including full execution of the payroll and related processes, as well as experience in a company with multiple states as well as international payrollEnsure employee payroll records are accurately maintained in the respective systemsAssist with the completion of the annual Incurred Cost Submission and own Schedule LAssist in the annual budget process and provide support as necessaryEnsure all audit requests are provided timely and accurately from the Payroll teamReview and maintain the monthly reconciliation of all respective general ledger accounts and resolve variances timelyManage a team of individuals with varied backgrounds to optimal performancePerform account research and ad-hoc accounting/reporting/administrative tasksCollaborate with the HR team to manage the annual 401K audit from a Payroll perspective Other duties as assigned Qualifications 10+ years Accounting experience, including managing othersBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration Government contracting and Deltek Costpoint experienceKnowledge of GAAP, CAS, FAR and control understandingStrong organizational, prioritization skills, and attention to detailActively focuses on team development and growthExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate high level of integrity, professionalism including teamworkAbility to effectively plan, work well under pressure and short deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong problem solving, research, and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environmentCreates an atmosphere in which timely information flows smoothly through the organizationActively pursues learning and self-development to enhance personal, professional and business growth; shares learning and development with their teamStrong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skillsLocation
