Payroll Manager
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Manager in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The job function is within the banking industry and involves managing payroll processes for our large team. As the Payroll Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and related tasks. This is a hybrid onsite schedule based out of Woodbridge, NJ. Experience with ADP Workforce Now is required. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the entire payroll process for approximately 2000 employees. • Supervise a small team consisting of a payroll processor and a time and attendance and stock compensation person. • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations and internal policies. • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve any payroll discrepancies. • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure accurate and smooth payroll operations. • Implement and maintain Enhanced Time and WorkForceNow systems for efficient payroll processing. • Continuously review and improve payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. • Provide payroll reports and insights to senior management as needed. • Be present on-site, especially during the initial period, to ensure smooth transition and process understanding. Requirements • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role within the banking industry. • Proficient in using payroll software, specifically 'ADP Workforce Now'. • Strong understanding of payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices. • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail. • Strong leadership and team management abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of data analysis and report writing. • Familiarity with MS Office, especially Excel. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. • Relevant certification (e.g. Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field is preferred.
