Payroll Manager
The Payroll Manager will play a critical role in payroll processing and compliance while supporting the broader human resources function. This hands-on position ensures payroll administration aligns with state and federal regulations and requires a strong understanding of HR processes and policies. As a key member of the HR team, you will contribute to the organization's success by maintaining payroll compliance and supporting HR initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities: The following duties are descriptive in nature and may include additional responsibilities as needed.

1. Payroll Management

o Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of federal and state payroll standards, legislation, and best practices.

o Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing each pay period.

o Maintain compliance with applicable laws, payroll tax obligations, unemployment requirements, and internal policies.

o Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll-related inquiries and concerns, providing training to managers and HR team members on the effective use of UKG and timecard processing.

2. HR Support

o Offer guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and programs.

o Address employee questions related to payroll, benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, and other HR-related topics.

o Support the administration of HR initiatives, including performance management, employee engagement, and training programs.

3. Compliance

o Ensure adherence to local labor laws, regulations, and company policies.

o Stay informed about evolving HR and payroll legal requirements, making recommendations to maintain compliance.

o Contribute to the development and implementation of policies that promote a fair, inclusive, and compliant work environment.

4. HR Administration

o Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records with a high level of data integrity.

o Manage HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and performance evaluations.

o Assist in generating and maintaining HR metrics and reports to support data-driven decision-making.

5. HR Projects

o Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, policy updates, and diversity and inclusion efforts.

o Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems to enhance the employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
