Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager to implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll processing operations, manage payroll updates, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws. This role involves developing scalable payroll processes, addressing employee pay questions, balancing wage payments, and preparing payroll-related reports and returns.

Responsibilities: Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions.Manage payroll processing operations, ensuring accurate and timely updates for new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Develop, document, and execute repeatable and scalable payroll processes to drive accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.Address employee pay questions and quickly resolve payroll issues.Balance wage payments and deductions, prepare quarterly 941 tax filings, and reconcile annual W-2 and W-3 forms.Prepare reports or returns summarizing payroll-related expenditures.Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.Coach, mentor, and develop the payroll team, fostering an open communication environment.Understand and utilize all accounting information systems specific to payroll and timekeeping.Essential Skills:4+ years of payroll processing experience required Management experience is required Union payroll experience highly preferred Proficiency in payroll processing systemsExperience with Criterion or SagePro systems is a plus
Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid schedule with 1 day a week working from home and 4 days a week in the office. The company has a great culture, low turnover, and promotes from within. Additionally, the company had a successful year revenue-wise and offers good benefits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00
