Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Chesapeake, Virginia area for a Payroll Manager to join our organization. The position primarily revolves around managing all aspects of payroll, including benefits administration, policy updates, and assisting with accounting duties. The role is entrenched in the industry and requires a strong understanding of payroll processes and benefits administration. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Process weekly payroll and handle payroll taxes in compliance with legal requirements • Administer employee benefits and 401k paperwork • Assist employees with insurance and 401K enrollment, and 401K loans • Assist the CFO with accounting responsibilities as required • Maintain a high degree of integrity, demonstrating leadership and social responsibility • Process checks and manage related operations accurately • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various payroll and accounting tasks • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, and make quick decisions when necessary.
