Description Our client located in the Greenway Plaza area of Houston, TX is seeking a Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager must have 8+ years of high-volume in-house Payroll Experience, multi-state experience, taxes, deductions, reconciliations, process improvements, and Workday experience. The Payroll Manager will be processing payroll for 1100+ employees, implementing processes, and must have construction industry experience. This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 140K plus bonus and benefits working 100% in office. Responsibilities: • Oversee full cycle payroll operations for a workforce of over 500 employees • Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll • Manage multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations • Handle payroll taxes and deductions accurately, minimizing discrepancies • Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency • Conduct regular auditing of payroll data for accuracy • Manage payroll garnishments in compliance with legal requirements • Utilize Workday Payroll system for efficient payroll management • Maintain proficiency in accounting functions relevant to payroll management • Utilize Microsoft Excel for payroll data management and reporting Requirements • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a payroll position, with a focus on supervisory, managerial, or directorial roles • Proficiency in accounting functions and auditing • Demonstrated experience in handling full cycle payroll • Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing • Proven track record in managing payroll for over 500 employees • Extensive knowledge of Workday Payroll software • Ability to process bi-weekly payroll efficiently • Comprehensive understanding of payroll taxes • Experience in handling payroll garnishments • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
