Payroll Manager
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations across multiple states and multiple companies. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of union payroll requirements, labor laws, and tax regulations. This role requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-entity, multi-state environment. Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple states and multiple legal entities, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution. + Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws, including those pertaining to unionized employees. + Ensure adherence to union agreements. + Process payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, garnishments, and benefits deductions. + Work closely with HR, Accounting, and Legal teams to ensure payroll processes align with company policies and government regulations. + Reconcile payroll data, conduct audits, and ensure accuracy in payroll reports and general ledger postings. + Manage payroll tax filings, W-2s, and year-end reporting, collaborating with tax agencies as needed. + Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving discrepancies and issues promptly. + Implement and optimize payroll systems and processes to improve efficiency and compliance. + Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. + Minimum of 5 years of payroll management experience in a multi-state, multi-company environment. + Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and employment laws across various states. + Experience with union payroll + Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, etc.) and Microsoft Excel. + Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot payroll discrepancies. + Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. + If you have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of payroll systems, and a passion for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, we encourage you to apply for this position.
