Description Payroll Manager (Onsite in Nashville, TN) Our client in the Nashville area is seeking a detail-oriented Interim Payroll Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilize your payroll expertise, ensure timely and accurate employee payments, and support a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Manage and oversee the preparation, processing, and reconciliation of payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. + Collaborate with HR and finance teams to address payroll-related discrepancies and ensure accurate tax reporting. + Stay up to date on payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure organizational compliance. + Provide leadership and guidance to payroll staff, ensuring deadlines are met and workflows are optimized. + Generate and analyze payroll reports to advise leadership and support proper decision-making. Requirements + Previous experience as a Payroll Manager or in a leadership role within the payroll department. + Expertise in payroll tax laws, FLSA compliance, and multi-state payroll regulations. + Strong knowledge of garnishments, benefits deductions, and union payroll (if applicable). + Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills: + Proficiency in one or more payroll and Human Resources systems, such as ADP Workforce Now, Paycom or Workday Payroll + Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). + Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct is a plus.
