Payroll Processor
Description Key Responsibilities: + Process full-cycle payroll for employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned staff. + Review and verify timecards, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies. + Calculate and process payroll taxes, garnishments, and other deductions. + Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit notifications. + Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, benefits, and tax forms. + Assist with year-end activities such as W-2 and 1099 preparation. + Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies. + Generate payroll reports and provide data analysis for management. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. + Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or similar role. + Proficiency in payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar). + Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. + Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. + Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. + Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
