The Role & What You Will Be Do

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Payroll Specialist role will make an impact:

Role Responsible for the end to end payroll process for 1 legal entity. Preparation and review of weekly and monthly payroll for approximately 350 personnel in a multi shift environment, ensuring correct pay rates, deductions and net payments

Ensure that all real time reporting obligations are met, and no penalties are levied for late or inaccurate payments

Establish and develop relationships with all IT system and data providers – including Revenue, AIB Bank, Sage MicroPay, Advanced Systems and Viatris IT

Manage the payroll elements of the employee benefit schemes – including Health Insurers, Pensions and Risk Benefits

Oversee the voluntary deductions for Bus & Rail passes, Bike to Work scheme and Social Club

Maintain control of company obligations relating to Benefit-in-Kind including Reward & Recognition schemes and employee personal and business mileage in relation to Company Vehicles and escalate tax compliance issues seeking internal or external guidance as appropriate

Maintain the payroll inbox and answer any employee queries in a timely and efficient manner and support purchase order admin

Support for payroll matters for all external and internal audits, and support business critical projects around the payroll function, including integration / acquisition activities

Support preparation of payroll reports including Gender Pay Gap Reporting, R&D tax credits & IDA grant submissions, and ensure accurate timely payroll postings into General Ledgers.,

Escalate tax compliance issues seeking internal or external guidance as appropriate

Work closely with HR to ensure that accurate information is produced on the Time Management System and work to resolve issues as they arise with HR, supervisory and managerial staff

Distribute accurate payroll service management reports for senior management and key business partners

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

Knowledge of end-to-end payroll systems and processes; proven ability to drive payroll processes and efficiency improvements

Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail

Highly computer literate. Experience with TMS, Workday, Revenue Online, SAGE Micropay and SAP an advantage

Self-motivator who possesses an ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines

IPASS qualification desirable

Excellent communication skills
