Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our operations in Atwater, California, United States. The selected candidate will take on tasks related to payroll processing, recruitment for hourly positions, and various human resource-related activities. This role provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Effectively manage bi-weekly payroll for a number of hourly employees using Paylocity software. • Handle payroll-related concerns such as missed punches and meal verification compliance by liaising with supervisors for necessary corrections. • Ensure accurate labor distribution while maintaining precise time tracking and reporting. • Troubleshoot and address discrepancies in the hourly payroll inputs proactively. • Comply with established payroll procedures, excluding tasks related to payroll tax. • Screen applicants and conduct phone screenings for hourly positions. • Oversee pre-employment processes, including background checks, reference verifications, and drug screenings. • Contribute to recruiting efforts aimed at identifying skilled hourly candidates that align with our corporate culture. • Serve as a point of contact for onboarding processes and ensure smooth transitions for new employees. • Keep abreast with HR best practices and recruitment trends to enhance talent acquisition strategies.
