Payroll Specialist

Summary: Payroll Specialists will be responsible for all aspects of quality client service. Assists individual Plants with payroll input; verifies totals and resolves client issues in a timely manner.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

35-40% Process weekly payrolls as well as semi-monthly payrolls. Works with plant HR and Accounting population to resolve payroll and e-time issues they may have. Enter hours and special pay or deductions in ADP. Responsible for balancing semi-monthly payrolls to account for differences in earnings from each pay period.  Audit Payroll Integration batches and answers questions regarding payroll issues through HR Connect.10-15% Review nightly Workday Pass thru to ensure all records pass from Workday correctly. Review Daily Error report and make necessary corrections.10-20% Maintain payroll data maintenance including employee records, calculations, accrual profiles, pay rules, work rules and compliance updates. Update ADP Enterprise as necessary and timely communicate changes required with the Manager- Payroll and HRIS team. Maintain and support E-time/MyADP/Workday interfaces.  Identify areas of opportunity for enhancement and automation, which will improve payroll accuracy and employee experience and Ensure systematic compliance with union rules and internal policies and control.5-10% Balance quarterly tax and wage registers to ensure compliance.5-10% Process manual checks, stop payments and reversal of direct deposits where needed.5-10% Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Manager-Payroll.
