Payroll Specialist
Job Description A client in Houston, TX is looking for Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team. The team will consist of two other specialists and will oversee the payroll responsibilities of over 1800 employees between the US and Canada. On a daily basis, this individual will be processing, analyzing, and auditing multi-state bi-weekly payrolls; coordinating with the HR, Benefits, and Compensation teams to ensure an efficient payroll cycle; and process manual checks and research payroll discrepancies. The team will rotate duties between direct deposit payroll, new hire payroll, employee terminations, monitoring transaction errors in payroll system, payroll reports, payroll tax withholdings, and general ledgers. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be accurate, detailed and organized in a high volume/fast paced environment. This role is required to be onsite 4-5 day per week and has an hourly rate of $30-$35/hour.
