Description Robert Half is partnering with prominent employer in Fort Wayne, IN in search of a strong payroll specialist with a high attention to detail. The ideal candidate should possess an expert understanding of payroll responsibilities, a knack for high volume payroll processing, effective timekeeping, regulatory compliance and record maintenance. Responsibilities: + Accurately process payroll for numerous employees on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis. + Closely review wage computation and ensure accuracy in payroll calculations. + Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. + Facilitate audits by providing well-maintained records and necessary documentation. + Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in time and attendance records. + Utilize MS Excel to conduct data analysis, prepare spreadsheets, reports, and present findings. + Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding payroll-related matters. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. + Proven experience as a payroll specialist or similar role. + Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications. + Outstanding attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. + Excellent numerical skills along with effective time management. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong organizational skills and dependability.
