Description One of our clients in the Walnut Creek area is looking for a Payroll Specialist: ***Contact Ade Henderson via LinkedIn for immediate consideration*** Responsibilities: + Managing the whole payroll process for employees ensuring timely and accurate payment. + Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws. + Conducting regular audits on the payroll system to ensure accuracy. + Managing benefits and deductions, retirement plans, insurance, and savings bonds. + Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries. + Collaborating with Human Resources and Accounting teams on a regular basis. + Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions. + Preparing monthly reports for senior management. Requirements + A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field. + Proven experience as a payroll specialist or a role with similar responsibilities. + Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices. + High degree of professionalism and strong problem-solving capability. + Proficient with Microsoft Office and payroll software systems. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. + Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws and regulations.
