Payroll Specialist
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry for a fully remote position. In this role, you will be processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and resolving payroll-related inquiries. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process and manage payroll activities using ADP software. • Implement best practices for payroll processing in line with ADP system enhancements. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees. • Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy, ensuring compliance with our company policies. • Stay current with federal, state, and local tax regulations to ensure compliance in payroll processing. • Prepare and submit required payroll tax reports and filings. • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner. • Professionally and confidentially address employee inquiries related to payroll matters. • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless integration between HR and payroll functions. • Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist in the manufacturing industry • Proficient in ADP Payroll software • Experience in processing bi-monthly payroll • Familiarity with full cycle payroll processes • Experience in managing multi-state payroll • Knowledge of payroll garnishments procedures • Experience in handling payroll for over 500 employees • Understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance • Ability to reconcile payroll discrepancies • Experience in processing weekly payroll • Proficiency in Workday Payroll software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
