Payroll Specialist
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist with a company based in MARIETTA, Georgia. The role involves managing the full payroll process, ensuring accuracy, and generating reports for the accounting team. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity in the financial services industry. Responsibilities: • Handle the entire payroll cycle using ADP and other accounting software systems, ensuring timely and accurate submission • Generate and verify reports, aligning them with the accounting team before submission • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies, implementing solutions to prevent future issues • Contribute to general affairs by managing vendor relationships and securing necessary supplies • Coordinate team events and meetings, including arranging lunch and refreshments • Create credentials for new employees and ensure that onboarding supplies are prepared and ready for use • Maintain adequate inventory of essential supplies • Collaborate closely with team members to foster a supportive and efficient working environment • Contribute to team initiatives and projects as needed, providing insights and solutions • Continuously seek to grow skillset by proactively asking questions and seeking guidance Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services. • Experience in using ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Dayforce. • Knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time software. • Ability to perform Accounting Functions efficiently. • Skilled in Auditing and Benefit Functions. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to handle confidential information. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
