Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and optimizing payroll processes. You will work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for our national workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Verify and maintain payroll records, including employee time sheets, deductions, and bonuses.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
+ Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including payroll setup and benefits enrollment.
+ Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
+ Prepare and submit payroll taxes and other required filings.
+ Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends and discrepancies.
+ Collaborate with HR to maintain up-to-date employee records and resolve any issues.
+ Participate in the annual audit process and prepare necessary documentation.
+ Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and best practices..
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field preferred.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
+ Proficient in Bamboo or Workday and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
+ Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
+ Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
+ Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
