Description We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the construction/contractor industry based in UPPER MARLBORO, Maryland, 20774-7410, United States. The role involves processing payrolls, managing accounting software systems, and handling project accounting tasks. You will be working closely with our team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Responsibilities: • Process weekly payroll efficiently and accurately. • Use various accounting software systems for payroll processing and record keeping. • Handle all aspects of Certified Payroll and ensure compliance with regulations. • Manage check processing tasks to ensure timely and accurate payment. • Utilize Sage Timberline Software for various payroll and accounting tasks. • Perform project accounting duties as required. • Maintain accurate records of all payroll activities. • Handle all aspects of construction accounting for payroll. • Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees and management efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Payroll Specialist or similar role within the construction/contracting industry • Proficiency in accounting software systems • Experience in check processing • Familiarity with Sage Timberline Software • Proficiency in managing weekly payroll • Experience in Certified Payroll • Knowledge of Construction Accounting processes • Understanding of Project Accounting principles • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
