Credence Management Solutions (Credence) has an immediate need for a mid level Payroll Professional who is detail oriented and an excellent team player. The successful candidate should have federal payroll in the government contracts industry with exposure to Deltek Costpoint and ADP Payroll services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below Maintain Deltek Costpoint Time and Expense moduleMaintain employee master file within Deltek CostpointProcess semi-monthly payroll utilizing Costpoint interface with ADP; manage and perform all phases of the payroll process from timesheet collection, review, and edits prior to transmitting payroll to a third party-processorMaintain employee timesheets, labor charging profiles, and leave tables in Costpoint Time and Expense moduleProvide timesheet training and guidance to new and existing employeesMonitor electronic timesheets, contact department supervisors for any missed timesheets and/or required corrections.Reconcile and track employee benefits, payroll deductions, insurance premium billing and collections.Compile payroll data (wages, garnishments, PTO/Sick leave, insurance, 401(k) deductions, and SCA compliance as applicable)Maintain accounting records in Costpoint including labor distribution, timesheet history and leave balances Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll regulations and taxation, including those related to employee benefitsEnsure monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting (W-2, 941) for federal and multiple state agencies are filed accurately and on timeCompile various internal management reports from Costpoint and ADPAssist and support various audits (Year-end, Workers Compensation, 401K, and Labor)Represent the Payroll Department at new hire orientation.Education, Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Accounting professional with 4 plus years of experience in payroll in the government contracts industry Solid experience using Deltek Costpoint and ADP Payroll service Experience and use of Project Labor Categories (PLC) in billing and reporting Thorough knowledge of Federal and State(s) payroll tax law and regulationsPrior experience with setup of SUI and withholding accounts in new states a plus Multi-state tax experience a plus Well versed in managing payroll withholding related to a variety of company benefits Able to respond effectively to notices from tax authoritiesHighly organized and effective with multi-taskingMaintain a high level of accuracy and detail-oriented when completing work functions Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsThe candidate will be required to work full time from office during the training period. Later, will be required to work from office for at-least 2-3 days every week and rest of the times from home. The work from home arrangement is subject to change at anytime and employees may be required to report to the office 5-days a week as needed
