Payroll Specialist
Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing bi-weekly payroll processes, handling benefit reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage standards. This role requires a proactive individual who can take ownership of payroll functions and stay informed about legislative changes affecting payroll in multiple states. Responsibilities + Manage bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now. + Reconcile monthly benefit invoices. + Handle prevailing wage, intents & affidavits, and certified payroll. + Support various HR and payroll functions as needed. + Complete quarterly calculations of Workers Comp premiums. + Prepare OSHA 300 & 300 A reports quarterly and annually for all locations. + Process new hires and terminations. + Maintain all payroll information in ADP. + Take ownership of payroll functions and ensure accuracy. + Stay updated on new payroll-related legislation and inform HR and managers. Essential Skills + 2+ years of hourly payroll experience. + Experience with multi-state payroll (WA, OR, ID, AK). + Proficiency with ADP (any version; Workforce Now preferred). + Knowledge of prevailing wage requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified payroll experience. + Exposure to intents & affidavits. + Experience with benefit deductions. + Salaried payroll experience. + Dependable and reliable with a strong work ethic. + Comfortable working 100% in-office in a blue-collar environment. + Good personality, easy to get along with, and not high maintenance. Work Environment The role is 100% in-office located near Lloyd Center, with an 8-hour shift between 7 AM and 5 PM. You have the flexibility to start early and leave early if preferred. The work environment is blue-collar, family-oriented, and promotes team bonding through potlucks, cookouts, and company outings.
