Payroll Specialist

Summary:
Responsible for performing the administrative duties necessary to coordinate accurate, timely payment of payroll to all team members of Golden Entertainment properties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Maintain time and attendance records throughout the properties, providing reports to all departments, for review, on a regular basis Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll Post information pertaining to hours worked, deductions, paid time off, benefits, gratuities and direst deposits, into the computer in a timely, accurate manner Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data produced in Payroll, including reports Maintain accurate records of all wage garnishments and child support orders Cooperate with the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies, providing detailed payroll information, as requested Handle limited banking functions pertaining to Payroll, and resolve any discrepancies in the General Ledger Conduct the necessary research to effectively resolve payroll disputes from team members Prepare and issue paychecks, replace lost and/or stolen checks, and ensure accurate information for direct deposits Calculate and verify payroll adjustments Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards Perform other duties as assigned
