Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for [number] employees using [specific payroll software, e.g., ADP, Paylocity, etc.].Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, direct deposits, and benefits deductions.Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance as needed.Reconcile payroll discrepancies and address payroll-related inquiries from employees promptly and professionally.Stay up to date on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary updates in payroll processes.Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll aligns with company policies and budget.Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 preparation and distribution.
Qualifications:Required:High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.[2+] years of payroll processing experience.Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.Proficiency in payroll software systems ([specify preferred systems, if any]).Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
