Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the social assistance industry, specifically within a hospital setting located in Boston, Massachusetts. The role involves a high degree of organization and attention to detail, with a focus on processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. This position is fully on site 9am- 5pm Monday- Friday with a 1 hour lunch break. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications • Maintain precise customer credit records • Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally • Actively monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary • Perform administration of ADP payroll, including processing, troubleshooting, and training • Create reports as required • Administer the time and attendance system (ADP ETime) • Manage various tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of detail • Work effectively within a fast-paced, union payroll environment. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll position • Famely with ADP - Payroll software • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel • Strong mathematical and numerical skills • Knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and best practices • Familiarity with labor regulations and payroll tax • Solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • High level of discretion and confidentiality • Experience in the healthcare, hospital, or social assistance industry is a plus.
