Payroll Specialist

Position Overview:
We are assisting our client in their search for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing and related administrative functions. This role involves overseeing bi-weekly payroll, managing employee records, monitoring benefit balances, and ensuring accurate and compliant payroll transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payroll, including payments for commissions, bonuses, and incentives.Enter and verify time and attendance data, including leave of absence records and exceptions.Manage payroll deductions and benefits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.Research and resolve payroll-related inquiries and ensure adherence to local and federal laws.Train employees and managers on payroll system usage, including self-service changes and timecard entries.Update employment records for new hires, promotions, transfers, and other changes.Prepare and audit payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.Fund retirement and HSA accounts as part of payroll processing.Assist with ad-hoc reporting and participate in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:
