Payroll Specialist
Description Job Title: Payroll Specialist Job Description: + Process and manage company payroll, ensuring timely and accurate compensation. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. + Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. + Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits, HR, etc). + Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records. + Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages and reporting on this. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR or related field + Proficient in MS Office and payroll software programs (ADP, Gusto, Workday, etc.). + Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes. + Strong business acumen with a problem-solving attitude. + Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and emotional intelligence. + Demonstrate strong tech skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new software and technologies. + Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices. + Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
