Payroll Specialist
Description We are on the search for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be handling various accounting and payroll responsibilities within a nonprofit setting. You will manage general ledger activities, oversee financial reporting, and process payroll, among other duties. Responsibilities: • Handle the processing of bi-weekly payroll, benefits, and deductions • Oversee financial reporting and month-end close procedures • Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation • Ensure adherence to audits, internal controls, and reporting standards • Manage vendor relations, address invoice discrepancies, and oversee special projects • Carry out financial analysis and accruals • Collaborate across departments for smooth operations • Use various accounting software systems and tools like Costpoint, ADP, and Excel for efficient work processes • Administer 403(b) transfers and other benefit functions • Conduct regular auditing activities to ensure compliance and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory. • Experience in using ADP - Financial Services is required. • Must understand and be able to use ADP Workforce Now. • Familiarity with Dayforce is a plus. • Should have knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration. • Prior experience with 'About Time' software is preferred. • Must be able to handle various Accounting Functions. • Audit skills are necessary; prior Auditing experience is advantageous. • Knowledge of Benefit Functions is required. • Experience with Costpoint is considered a strong asset.
