Description
We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Downers Grove, Illinois. The role requires a meticulous individual who can handle all facets of payroll processing, along with some responsibilities in Accounts Payable (AP) and Human Resources (HR). This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately processing bi-weekly and monthly payroll while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for all payroll transactions
• Managing and processing payroll-associated invoices and expenses within the AP system
• Addressing and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to payroll
• Assisting in HR duties such as staff onboarding, benefits administration, and upkeep of employee records
• Collaborating with the HR team to accurately record employee overtime, sick leaves, vacation days, and personal days
• Compiling detailed reports on earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages
• Staying updated with changes in laws pertaining to taxes and deductions that affect the payroll process.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a related role.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now software.
• Solid understanding of accounting functions.
• Experience in managing benefit functions.
• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) administration tasks.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures.
• Experience in benefits payroll management.
• Ability to handle bi-monthly payroll operations.
• Proficient in managing full cycle payroll processes.
