Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the retail industry, based in Newport, Minnesota. The primary function of this role is to efficiently process payroll using timekeeping systems such as ADP Workforce Now, maintain accurate employee records, and resolve payroll-related inquiries. Responsibilities: • Efficiently and accurately process payroll via ADP Workforce Now and other relevant systems • Collect and authenticate employee data to ensure its accuracy • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll information to protect employee privacy • Conduct research and resolve any discrepancies in timekeeping transactions • Update payroll records to reflect changes in employee status such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires • Preserve accurate records of employee data and payroll transactions • Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions and issues, providing timely and effective resolutions • Ensure all payroll processes are in compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations • Collaborate with the Payroll Supervisor on special projects when required • Generate and maintain reports using appropriate tools to ensure data integrity and standardized reporting *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.
