Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with an organization in Washington, D.C. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Payroll Specialist to join the team in Washington, D.C. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll for [number of employees] employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, tax laws, and regulations.Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive payroll information.Ensure timely payment of wages, bonuses, and commissions, while addressing discrepancies in a timely manner.Calculate and process deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.Prepare and submit tax filings (federal, state, and local) and ensure compliance with the relevant tax codes.Resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, management, and external agencies promptly and professionally.Assist with quarterly and year-end reporting, including tax filings (W2s, 1099s, etc.), and ensure timely distribution.Coordinate with HR to ensure that all new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status are reflected in payroll data.Stay current with local, state, and federal payroll regulations to ensure compliance and implement updates as necessary.Provide assistance during audits, including gathering payroll records and responding to audit requests.Support in preparing and processing employee benefit enrollment and deductions as they pertain to payroll.Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll documentation and records.
