Payroll Specialist
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist with a growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various payroll and accounting functions using different software systems. The position will require you to maintain accurate records, process customer inquiries, and monitor accounts to ensure appropriate action is taken. Responsibilities: • Efficiently process customer credit applications using accounting software systems. • Maintain and update payroll records for over 500 employees across multiple states. • Use payroll software such as ADP, Ceridian, TimeWise, UKG, for various accounting functions. • Manage 401k - RRSP Administration and other benefit functions. • Conduct regular auditing to ensure accuracy of payroll records. • Handle full-cycle payroll activities in a timely manner. • Multi-state payroll. • Address customer inquiries related to payroll and resolve them effectively. • Monitor customer accounts regularly to ensure appropriate actions are taken. • Manage in-house payroll operations using About Time software. Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. • Experience with ADP or similar systems is required • Working knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce is beneficial. • Expertise in 401k - RRSP Administration is important. • Familiarity with About Time software is desirable. • Solid understanding of accounting functions is necessary. • Experience in auditing is a plus. • Proficiency in managing benefit functions is required. • Hands-on experience in Full Cycle Payroll is necessary. • Experience in Multi-state Payroll is advantageous. • Capable of handling Payroll for over 500 Employees. • Experience in Payroll - Multi-State is essential. • Experience with Payroll - In-House is beneficial.
