Payroll Specialist

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be part of the finance department supporting the payroll team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, good communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Payroll Specialist
**Location:** Iron Mountain, MI (Hybrid: M-Wed in office, Th/Fri Remote)
**Pay Range:** $25-$27/hr
**Shift:** Flexible on the shift, generally 8 hour day between 7AM - 5PM
**What's the Job?**
+ Process weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees
+ File federal and state payroll taxes
+ Upload retirement plan and HSA contributions
+ Track wage changes per union contract
+ Manage FMLA time and maintain employee files in ERP system
**What's Needed?**
+ Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
+ Minimum three years office experience in Accounting with one year payroll experience preferred
+ Experience with payroll processing
+ Proficient in MS Office Suite
+ Ability to work with individuals throughout the organization
