This role is responsible for assisting the payroll team with preparation/production for 1000+ employee multi-state, bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurately. Resolve any timecard issues.Update and maintain personnel rosters by pay group for payroll processingPrepare service technician time reports for payroll.  (pre & post).401(k) reporting within Fidelity to include file processing and validation.Manage employment verification process (through The Work Number).Process/Code Cintas invoices accurately and on time.Respond to the shared mailboxes (payroll & HR) to answer general inquiries (PTO, pay changes...)Partner with HR on policies & procedures affecting employee matters and ensure all payroll changes are accurately processed.Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.Maintain employee records and protect the integrity of payroll operations by keeping information confidential.Perform other duties assigned by Payroll Manager to include review of best practices for disbursements to improve efficiency and internal controls, and development and implementation of exception and regulatory reporting for payroll.  Completes new projects with a level of independence commensurate with the complexity and importance of the task.Thinks critically and exercises judgment to identify and resolve potential problems.  This includes researching historical approaches, leveraging the experience of other staff members, etc.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, benefits eligible position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with a flexible 8-hour shift during business hours. Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma required, AA or BS in Accounting or related field a plus.3-5 years of in-depth work experience within complex payrolls.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
