We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Payroll Specialist. This position is 100% remote.
Pay Rate: $33.65

Seeking a customer service-oriented Payroll Specialist. This position will be responsible for providing support related to payroll processing, tax support, audit requests, status reporting, special projects, and other duties as assigned. This role reports to the Director of US Payroll.
The payroll specialist will be responsible for processing day-to-day payroll functions in an efficient and timely manner under the supervision of a Senior Payroll Specialist, Payroll Operations Manager, and/or Director. The payroll team handles complex union, federal contracting standards, ex-patriot and other special pay situations for US based employees on missions around the world.
Job Responsibilities: Calculate, compile and submit accurate information and adjustments into the payroll processing software for assigned employee groups. Calculate miscellaneous pay components in compliance with federal, state, and/or local policies and tax guidelines.Create, review, and audit manual checks. Prepare manual upload files for use in the processing of payroll.Garnishment payroll entries and reviewHelp to support the employee receivables process.Detect and resolve routine and complex payroll anomalies.Prepare external reports to internal business partners and research GL matters.Support the help desk team by answering and resolving employee escalations. Support team with special payroll projects, tax adjustments, and complex research matters.
Basic Hiring Criteria:High School Diploma with 3 or more years progressive payroll experienceIntermediate knowledge of Excel required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel - VLOOKUPs and Pivot TablesUKG Payroll ExperienceAbility to speak to their experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 10 - Word & PowerPoint.Proven experience processing high-volume payrollAbility to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously.Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracySolid understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirementsStrong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records. Analytical and problem-solving skillsCommunication skillsAttention to detail is a must as well as accuracy.Solution-oriented approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
