(Hybrid) Payroll Specialist III
Job Description
The payroll specialist will be responsible for processing day-to-day payroll functions in an efficient and timely manner under the supervision of a Senior Payroll Specialist, Payroll Operations Manager, and/or Director. The payroll team handles complex union, federal contracting standards, ex-patriot and other special pay situations for US-based employees on missions around the world.
Responsibilities
+ Calculate, compile and submit accurate information and adjustments into the payroll processing software for assigned employee groups.
+ Calculate miscellaneous pay components in compliance with federal, state, and/or local policies and tax guidelines.
+ Create, review, and audit manual checks.
+ Prepare manual upload files used in the processing of payroll.
+ Garnishment payroll entries and review.
+ Help to support employee receivables process.
+ Detect and resolve routine and complex payroll anomalies.
+ Prepare external reports to internal business partners and research GL matters.
+ Support help desk team by answering and resolving employee escalations.
+ Support team with special payroll projects, tax adjustments, and complex research matters.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ Years Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel – VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
+ 2+ Years UKG Payroll Experience (Costpoint or Deltek T&E, are acceptable alternatives)
+ Experience with payroll processing for 3000+ employees
+ Data entry, administrative support, and customer service
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma with 3 or more years of progressive payroll experience
+ Intermediate knowledge of Excel required
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Deadline Oriented
+ UltiPro Payroll, Costpoint Payroll, and Deltek T&E Systems highly desired
Work Environment
Monday to Friday, Hybrid to Reston, VA, 8 AM - 5 PM EST Hours
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.62 - $34.35/hr.
